"The Allegheny String Band"

We're new, we're fun and we're kids! What do you get when you put together 3 beautiful smiles and lots of musical talent playing 8 different instruments?

THE ALLEGHENY STRING BAND!

Mary, 16, plays fiddle, mandolin, keyboard, tin whistle, bohdran and dulcimer. Joseph, 14, plays fiddle, tin whistle, Jews Harp and banjo. Beth, 13, plays guitar, keyboard and fiddle. We are the youngest of six children. Our older brothers and sister are very supportive of our music career and give us lots of encouragement.

We love our life on the farm. When we are not slopping the pigs, milking the cows or goats, feeding the chickens or tending our big gardens, we are playing music.

We have 3 years experience performing at nursing homes, fund raisers, senior center's, farmer's markets, festivals, county fairs and other community events. We offer a show with variety that incorporates many styles of music including Country music, Irish music, Traditional Bluegrass, Waltzes, Reels and Gospel.
